The Holiday Inn Express provided an excellent stay for my business trip. The staff was incredibly welcoming, particularly Lawrence at the front desk, who efficiently checked me in and offered insightful local dining suggestions. The room was well-maintained, featuring a comfortable bed and a clean working environment, which was essential for my tasks. The breakfast was outstanding, providing ample options to fuel my day ahead.
Minor issues with room cleanliness.

missingWrote a review on Dec 04automatic pancakeoutdoor poolroom cleanliness
The breakfast setup here is a highlight, featuring an automatic pancake maker that churns out pancakes at the push of a button—a real treat. The outdoor pool area, although not huge, provides a nice spot to relax after a long day of exploring.
During our stay, cleaning was noticeably absent. we had to deal with no refresh of toiletries or coffee, and it left us with trash piling up. The shower also greeted us with old soap suds on the wall, making us question cleanliness right off the bat. On top of that, the comforter bore noticeable stains, which wasn’t the welcoming sight we hoped for after a long drive. Lastly, the location felt a tad distant from the historic sites I prefer, which might be a downside for those looking for easy access.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel, enjoying the outdoor pool and the fantastic breakfast with options like veggie omelettes and pancakes. The location was convenient too, just a quick ride to historic Charleston. Plus, our service dog was welcomed warmly, which made it even better!
In my wife’s opinion, the lack of cleaning service during our stay was a bit disappointing, especially with young kids making a mess.

Good vibes, but watch out for the staff
So, I stayed here for 3 nights and loved the outdoor pool and the breakfast was pretty decent. The place was mostly clean too! But wow, we asked for more towels and they took forever to get back to us. The staff was kinda rude when we called about it. Otherwise, nice spot!
